Basically, a sound screen is an obstacle that interrupts the direct propagation of sound from a source to a receiver. This can be a partition wall or an attachment to a desk. Cabinets and other large-area furnishing elements can also function as sound screens. Sound screens can be equipped with a sound-absorbing surface that further reduces sound propagation.
