Keyword:
Airborne sound

Detailed Description:
Airborne sound is sound waves that propagate through the air. In physiology, this is referred to as air conduction. In a narrower sense, the term "airborne sound" is used for the frequency range of human hearing, which begins at about 16 Hz and ends at a maximum of 20 kHz, depending on age. A distinction is made between desirable sound and unwanted noise, which can be reduced by means of sound attenuation and sound insulation measures.
