Spherical sound sources
Detailed Description:
Spherical sound sources are basically sound sources that radiate evenly in all three spatial directions. Since hardly any loudspeaker has a spherical characteristic in its near field, there are special measuring loudspeakers for certain applications in acoustic measurement technology, known as dodecahedral loudspeakers, in which twelve individual loudspeakers are arranged in an almost spherical configuration, thus forming an approximate spherical sound source between 100 Hz and 4,000 Hz.
