A-Rating
Detailed Description:
The A-weighted sound pressure level is the weighted average of the sound pressure level (dB) depending on the frequency of a noise. This weighting takes into account the characteristic of the human ear to perceive sound pressure levels or tones of different frequencies with varying degrees of intensity. Sensitivity is particularly high in the mid-frequency range, the range of human speech. Almost all regulations and guidelines specify values in dB(A).
