Keyword:
Porous absorbers

Detailed Description:
Porous absorbers include mineral fibers, foams, carpets, fabrics, etc. Porous absorbers work by allowing sound to penetrate the open structures of the material, where the sound energy is then converted into heat energy at the surface of the pores through friction between the air particles. Porous absorbers are primarily effective at absorbing medium and high frequencies.
