Detailed Description:
Sound (from Middle High German: klanc) refers to certain complex, regular sound events. Physical acoustics and music in particular use different definitions. What is referred to as sound in acoustics corresponds roughly to the musical term tone. In common parlance, "sound" also refers to the phenomenon of different characteristics of a sound event, e.g., the "sound of a voice."
