Broadband absorbers (sound absorbers)

Broadband absorbers are used for noise protection. They absorb sound in a broad frequency spectrum from 300 hertz to 5 kilohertz with an absorption coefficient α > 85%. They are used in open-plan offices, restaurants, foyers, recording studios, etc. Thanks to their broadband absorption behavior, they are able to absorb effectively in the most important frequency range of human speech (500 Hz to 4 kilohertz). This means that speech intelligibility in the aforementioned rooms can be improved efficiently.
