The equivalent sound absorption area A is calculated as the sum of all areas S in the room, each multiplied by the corresponding sound absorption coefficient α of the respective area:
A = α1S1 + α2S2 + α3S3 + … + αnSn
Indicates the sound absorption of an object. Used, for example, for freely suspended absorbent ceiling panels, room dividers, and table dividers.
